Today in music Theory we were given and intro to music. We were given four instruments to choose from, I chose guitar. After that we were told on what we will be doing this term, as well as the criteria's for the upcoming assessments.

Today in Theory class we were told the descriptions for the project. We were given two things to do, make a group presentation and make an individual booklet. The country that my group and i were given was Traditional Japanese Music.

Today in class we joined up with our group, my group is the Japan group which consist of Blank, Brenda, Beatrix, Kohei and myself. We made an outline of our presentation and then separated our works. I was told to make the title, a long introduction and the Impact to Society.

Today in class we did our other assessment task. We were told to sing a Japanese song called Sakura. My partner for this assessment is Gabriel. I think we did fairly well in the presentation, it wasn't perfect but i think it is good enough.

Today in class we presented our power point about Traditional Japanese music. Even if I was told to make the Title, Long Introduction and Impact to Society I was told to say only the greeting and the Impact to Society. All-in-all i believe that all of us did alright in the presentation.

Today in class we watched as the Indian and Korean group present their assessment tasks. Unlike all the other groups the Korean group had two short videos of one of their country's traditional songs. After the presentations we were told to hand in our booklets which I think I did well on.

Today in class we learned about the Pentatonic Scale. We learned three of them, pentatonic scale one which consisted of notes 1;2;3;5 and 6. Then pentatonic scale 2 which consisted of notes 1;3;4;5 and 7. Lastly pentatonic scale 4 which consisted of notes 3;4;6;7 and i.

Today we corrected our homework which was to make a 16 bar melody. I chose to use pentatonic 1 for my melody. My melody was to do three beats per bar.

Today in class we gave our homework which was to do a 32 bar melody. We were told to add 16 more bars to our melody last week. After that Mr. Sadrakh told the class that one person from each instrument category to give his or her melody. I gave mine and got to hear my melody, I think my melody is alright but i don't think that it is great.

Today in class we were told to put our melody onto another piece of paper given to us by Mr.Sadrakh. After everyone was done with his or her melody we were taught to make a blog to put in our daily reflections.
